If you find a bunch of people who are willing to try out something new or revive something old, this one is a very safe bet.AssaultCube is a free game created with the Cube free engine, the features of which make it aesthetically similar to Counter-Strike, but with a game speed and entertainment that are more like Quake. Worth trying out and experimenting withĮven though the age of Counter-Strike 1.6 is almost gone, games like AssaultCube Reloaded can still be loads of fun. And here we come back to the open-source bit. Another little setback are the weapons, or more accurately, the lack of them. By default, the game looks really good when compared to other free games, it even gives Counter-Strike a run for its money.
And again, since it’s open-source, you can change that. On the downside, AssaultCube Reloaded is a bit old, and the graphics that are used might not seem all that appealing. Along with that factor in the existence of game modes such as Deathmatch, One Shot One Kill, Last Swiss Standing, Pistol Frenzy, Capture the Flag and others, and you can see how little you can get bored with it.
